An Indian woman serving as governor appoints a black man to fill an open Senate seat and Democrats call this a "token" which is clearly to say that he is undeserving. Why? Because he's black?
It just happens that I have both Indian and black members of my own family -- and a few women too! -- whom I love. And I reject this notion that they have not earned the success that they have achieved through their own hard work that had nothing to do with their skin pigmentation or number of Y chromosomes (that's color and gender to those of you in Rio Linda). To say otherwise is racist or misogynistic.
How is it that when Republican women or Republican people of color excel, it's a token, but when Democrats do the same, it's groundbreaking, it's historic. The only explanation is that those who appoint themselves to sit in judgment and then reach that conclusion are racists.
REMINDER: Democrats just spent millions to defeat Allen West and Mia Love. Racists.
